Frank Vos died on Monday, April 19, 2010, at The Nathaniel Witherell
nursing home in Greenwich, CT. He was 90 years old. Frank began to visit
the Mad River Valley in 1961. In 1965 he built a house on Sugarbush
Woods Road in Warren and for the next three decades made The Valley his
second home.
He was an avid skier, first at Mad River Glen and later at Sugarbush. He
was a member of Ski Club 10 for more than 20 years.
He learned to fly both gliders and small planes at the Warren Airport.
He became a licensed pilot for twin engine aircraft and held his
instrument rating. He also held a license to operate gliders.
He is survived by Cadie, his wife of 58 years, of Stamford, CT, his son
George Vos, of Stamford, his daughter Julie Lindsey of New York City and
five grandchildren: Ellis and Mary Lindsey, and Kate, Julia and Connor
Vos.
