Sean Roger Asselin, 39, of Waitsfield, passed away at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington on Wednesday, October 11, 2006. Born in Westerly, RI, on October 3, 1967, he was the son of Roger and Margaret Asselin.
Sean was a 1984 graduate of Shed High School in Eastport, ME. He later attended Job Corp in Bangor, ME, and has made his home in the Mad River Valley with his caregiver, Curtis Burr of Waitsfield, since 1998. Sean enjoyed music, playing keyboard and clarinet, as well as board games, gin rummy and chess.
Sean is survived by his parents of St. Petersburg, FL; a sister, Suzanne Hartt of Houston, TX; and a brother, Scott Asselin of Blue Ridge, VA.
There will be a graveside service on Friday, October 20, at 2 p.m. at the Irasville Cemetery in Waitsfield. It will be followed immediately by a short gathering at the Gould home on Rolston Road in Waitsfield.
Assistance to the family is in the care of the Perkins-Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Waterbury.
