Carolyn Nicholas 1939-2025
Affectionately known as Ca by her friends and family, or “Noni” by her grandchildren, Carolyn Pindari Nicholas passed away peacefully in February of 2025 after a three-decade battle with breast cancer.
Carolyn was pre-deceased by her husband of 39 years, David “Chip” Nicholas, who passed away in 2007. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family including her daughter Jennifer Nicholas Hartmann and husband Jonathan, of Southborough, MA, and daughter Kristina Nicholas Biglow and husband Doug of Park City, Utah; and sister, Marylyn Pindari of Jacksonville, Fl. Noni is also survived by four grandchildren, Nicola and Tucker Hartmann, and Lauren and Christopher Biglow, and many cousins, especially Al and Joanne Bevilacqua of Fort Meyers, FL, who will miss her dearly.
Born in Saugus, MA, in 1939, Carolyn graduated from Saugus High School in 1958. Nothing was more important to Carolyn than her many friends and family. She cherished her “Saugus Girls” throughout her lifetime, they were her “ride or die” for over 75 years!
Lifelong friendships were a common theme for Carolyn. Her friends from “The Valley” in Vermont and Cape Cod, were a constant presence as she always made time to call and visit, and everyone knew they were welcome to stay whenever they were in town. In 1993, Chip and Carolyn moved from Sugarbush, VT, to Park City, UT, where they were joined by many adventure-seeking East Coast friends pursing their love for skiing. They created an energetic, fulfilling life with new and old friends. Thank you all for having such a strong, meaningful presence in our lives!
Aside from friends and family, Carolyn was passionate about food, fashion, and golf. She loved her time at ColeSport in Park City where she was thrilled to be surrounded by new friends while promoting the latest in high-fashion ski apparel. Carolyn could be spotted on the mountain at Deer Valley, wearing the most stylish gear.
Carolyn was proud of her Italian and New England heritage. She passed on her love for cooking and enjoyment of exquisite food to her daughters and grandchildren.
Carolyn humbly requested that we remember her and all the “fun times” privately in lieu of an immediate memorial service. We will celebrate Carolyn’s life in the springtime where we can enjoy warmer weather and her favorite yellow flowers! The family requests that any donations be made in Carolyn’s name to The Susan G. Koman foundation for breast cancer awareness
