ObitRobertBrightbillRobert Edwin Brightbill, 91, passed away on July 7, 2023, in Berlin, VT. He was born in Port Carbon, PA, on July 15, 1931. Robert graduated from Westchester State College in 1953 with a degree in Education, and later obtained his master's degree through continuing education courses. He dedicated many years of his life to teaching eighth-grade earth science in Bridgewater, NJ.

Robert had a zest for life and pursued various hobbies and interests. He was an avid skier, an amateur wood carver, and above all, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His passion for exploration led him and his late wife, Mary Brightbill, who passed away in 2019, to travel extensively across all 50 states of the United States and around the world.

He is survived by his son, Jerry, and daughter-in-law, Lauren, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Audrey and Cole. Additionally, Robert is survived by his sister, Anita Bradley. He was predeceased by his oldest sister, Dorothy Thomas.

In accordance with the family's wishes, there will be no public services held. A private burial will take place, allowing family and close friends to pay their respects.
