Frank S. Palumbo III passed away on June 15, 2023, at 9 a.m., with his wife, Liz, and niece, Anna, by his side at home. He was 68 years old.
He was born on September 15, 1954, at 1:05 a.m. in Newark, New Jersey to Lillian and Frank Palumbo Jr. of Summit, New Jersey. He graduated from Seton Hall Prep in NJ.
Frank moved to The Valley with his friends Joe Preziosi and Tommy Collinson in 1976 due to a lack of snow in the West. They were ski bums in the 70s and skied the Mad River, Glen Ellen and Sugarbush terrain. Frank went on from being a breakfast chef at the Sugarbush Inn to the founder operator of Floors Only Inc.
In 1986 Frank met the love of his life and bride, Liz Kehoe. They built their life of 37 years here in The Valley with their most treasured friends; skiing, boating on Lake Champlain and working in The Valley together.
They spent winters on Maui, Hawaii, helping raise their niece and nephews; Morgan, Anna and Willy who were the light of Frank’s life.
He is survived by his wife, Liz Kehoe Palumbo and her siblings and their families; his siblings, Jane La Stella, Jack Palumbo, Marybeth Palumbo and Richard Palumbo and their families. He is predeceased by his parents.
