The Council envisioned this Memorial Garden as a place to build
awareness about the issues impacting victims of crime. By creating this
visible public place we hope to send the message that crime is not
tolerated in our communities and that victims have our support. The
garden will serve as a symbol of growth and renewal. We must remember
that, like gardens, survivors of crime also need attention and care.
Both need to be recognized as resources that a community depends upon
for its sustenance and viability.
We hope you will consider joining us on this auspicious occasion. There
will be a reception following the ceremony in the Cedar Creek Room at
the State House. For more information or to RSVP please contact Aimee
