Working in
the field of aging, I am extremely concerned about cuts in services and
infrastructure for elders. With the growing demographic of elders about
to hit, it would be unconscionable to pull back on our aging services
such as case management, nutrition, mental health, housing,
transportation and volunteer services for senior citizens.
We
are all tightening our belts and making decisions about how to best
utilize our limited resources. No one can solve these problems alone.
As
you work in the coming year with Vermont's legislative body, we would
ask you all to ask Vermonters what is important to them. Thank you.
