Duxbury town office petition

I was a member of the committee appointed in 2006 by the select board to study space issues at the Town Office.  

Our committee was not a continuation of the Town Garage Committee as stated (that committee was dissolved by the select board in early 2005 upon completion of the new Town garage).

You also received incorrect information that the "Town Office Committee" circulated the petition calling for a special Town Meeting to discuss plans for the addition to the Town Office, and that the "Town Office Committee" was eager to bid out the project.  

Clearly a petition was generated, but it was not by the Town Office Committee --that study committee ceased to exist as a Duxbury Select Board appointed committee in late February 2007.
