On the one hand this is terrific news; on the other hand 124 memberships are still not enough -- not nearly enough! I'm asking those of you who enjoy walking, running, snowshoeing, biking, and cross country skiing on any section of the path to join our current 124 path members today.
The goal of the Mad River Path Association is to "support community, ecology, and health through public pathways in Vermont's Mad River Valley." The Mad River Path Association Board is committed to expanding the path and committed to maintaining the Path, but we can't do this without more community support. Help us preserve and expand one of The Valley's greatest assets. Membership applications can be found at the MR Path website, www.madriverpath.com, or you can just send a check to: MRPA, P.O. Box 683, Waitsfield, 05673. Let's all rally for the path -- think of what could be accomplished with a 25 percent increase in path membership or a 50 percent increase in path membership, or imagine what could be done if everyone of the 6,000 Valley citizens joined the path. Wow!
