In addition to the Highlanders' dominating performance, there was another result by a Valley resident that bears noting. David Sinclair, a sophomore at GMVS and a Waitsfield resident (and my neighbor), finished second in the Division 2 race, a scant 25 seconds off the three-time champion from U-32. David, too, will be headed to Maine for the NE Championships. David has been competing as an individual for GMVS throughout the season, and we very much appreciate the support that John, AD Sue Duprat, and the entire Harwood team have given him as they have facilitated his participation in cross country meets this season.
