To The Editor:

From the bottom of our hearts, we offer our sincerest gratitude to the Mad River Valley Community for your support. Nick’s passing has had a profound effect on our family, and we are humbled by the outpouring of love. From cards and food to help with egg washing and cleaning chicken coops, to other offers of assistance on the farm and the patience of our customers, we thank you for holding us in your hearts.

We’d also like to thank everyone who has donated in Nick’s memory to the Vermont Farm Bureau. We will be working closely with them to create educational opportunities for young people interested in agriculture, and we know Nick would be proud to have a positive impact on future generations of our farming communities. A lot has changed suddenly, and yet some things remain constant – neighbors helping neighbors, the importance of community, friendship and the love of family.

Doug keeps saying that every time someone hugs him, they make his eyes leak. We know it’s the hugs, though; it’s the shared stories about Nick and the community connections that make the unbearable even slightly bearable. We miss him.

With thanks,

The Kenyon Family
