To The Editor:

Do I assume correctly that the assessment covered by NECAP includes math? After all, that is closely allied to science. If so, please take note of the following: Of the six different scores reported in The Valley Reporter article, four school's scores added up to 100 percent, one came to 99 percent and one to 101 percent.

That's four correct out of six or 66.667 percent which relates to a solid "D." I've read that many educators are unhappy with NECAP. Maybe it should be knee-capped.
