Harwood controlled the ball and had opportunities, but Stowe was tough and more clinical, scoring on their only two shots of the first-half. Harwood's Matthew Fiaschetti scored early in the second to give the Highlanders a lifeline. Late in the second-half Harwood's Zach Smith was bundled into the Stowe goalie by a tumbling Stowe defender garnering a penalty, which Eamon Langlais slotted home to bring the teams level in the last minutes of regulation time. Two overtime periods saw multiple Harwood attacks turned back by Stowe's defense and goalie Brock Roick, who kept his side level at the end.

Harwood heads to Lamoille on Friday, October 13, for a 4 p.m. kickoff.

Harwood JV also took on the Stowe JV team on Tuesday coming away with a shut-out 10-0 victory.
