Henry Whitney, 62, of 34 Powderhound Road, Warren, VT, son of the late Anna Ruth Persons Whitney and Henry Whitney Sr., passed away as the result medical complications Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Fletcher Allen Medical Center.
Henry was born in Providence, New York, on May 21, 1950. Henry attended schools In New York. Henry was a well-loved man and friend to all. Henry’s passions were playing music, driving the school kids, his grand kids and small engine repair. He also loved to make people laugh with his jokes and stories. He will be missed.
Henry is survived by his longtime partner and ex-wife Harriet (Tiny) Whitney, his daughter Jeannie Richards and her husband Eric, his son Brian Whitney and his partner Nicole Herold, and his daughter Amy Brassard and her husband Neal; and grandchildren Ji Richards, Justin Whitney, Jorden Richards, Forrest Richards, Stephanie Whitney, Paige Whitney, Chayne Brassard, Hannah Brassard and Dana Brassard. His sisters, Joan Hagadorn and her husband David, Betty Strong and her husband George, Diane Grey, Darlene Brown and Dorathea Whitney. His brothers, Kenny Whitney, Robert Whitney and William Brown.
Henry is predeceased by both his parents, Anna Ruth (Persons) Whitney and Henry James Whitney Sr.; brothers James Whitney, Joel Whitney, Jerry Whitney, Louis Brown; and sisters Jean Persons, Zelda Strong and Dawn Whitney.
Services will be held at the Warren Town Hall on November 4, 2012, at 1 p.m. All donations will be accepted towards funeral and cremation expenses to Jeannie Richards (daughter) or Harriet Whitney (partner of 23 years). There will also be a donation box on the table.
