Dracut, MA - Joan B. (Withington) Weston, 80, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 12,2011, at her home in Dracut, MA, with her family by her side.
Born in Providence, R.I., on December 24, 1930, Joan was the daughter of the late Hope P. (Bennett) and George E. Withington Jr.
Joan enjoyed gardening and was an avid Red Sox fan. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will always be remembered as a devoted and loving mother. She will be greatly missed.
The wife of the late Frank (Hobey) Weston, Joan is survived by her two children, Brook Weston of Warren, VT, and Stacey Weston of Dracut and her husband Steven Smith; a grandson, Hobey Weston, of Warren, VT, and five nieces. She was predeceased by her sister Barbara W. Reynolds and brother George E. "Bud" Withington III.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service on Monday, July 18, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Redwood Chapel in Swan Point Cemetery in Providence, RI. Inurnment will follow.
