Randall David "Muff" Farnham, 49, of Farr Road, Waterbury, passed
away unexpectedly at the Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin on
Monday, January 18, 2010. Born in Montpelier on June 10, 1960, he was
the son of William Earl and Mary (Austin) Farnham. Randy was previously
married to the former Stephanie Alexander.
Randy attended Mt. Everett Regional School in Sheffield, MA, and at the
age of 16, returned to Vermont where he was employed for over 20 years
on the Paul Percy Farm in Stowe. For the past eight years Randy has
worked as a service technician and driver for AmeriGas in Waitsfield.
In addition, he also operated a snow removal business.
In his leisure time, Randy enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, going
for long scenic drives in his pickup, and all types of family
activities including barbecues and enjoying time with his son and
grandson. Generous and kind, Randy often put other people's happiness
and needs first.
Randy is survived by his son, Nicholas Farnham of Stowe; his grandson,
Mason Farnham of Stowe; his parents, William Farnham of Cornwall, CT,
and Mary Farnham of Great Barrington, MA; two brothers, William Farnham
of Hyde Park and Mitchell Farnham of Housatonic, MA; his companion,
Jennifer Chaput, and her children, Joshua and Jordan, all of Waterbury;
as well as nieces, nephews and extended family. A sister, Linda
O'Keefe, predeceased him.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Randy Farnham will be held
from the Wesley United Methodist Church in Waterbury on Saturday,
January 23, at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow in the church dining
room. The family requests that flowers be omitted; rather memorial
