Robert Allen Sumner, born October 24, 1926, in Jericho, VT, died at age 82 on August 13, 2009, in Chandler, AZ, after a short illness.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Alice Pearce (Sumner); and one daughter, Nancy E. Sumner (Burns); two grandchildren, Daniel Lee and Jennifer Lynn Burns of Chandler, AZ; one brother, Edwin Sumner of NY; and his sister, Laura Nelligan of Maine. Cremation and private ceremony will be held at his home.
