Joann "Jodi" Dawn (Ramey) Jodoin, 41, a longtime resident of Waterbury Center passed away at her home in Essex Junction on Wednesday, March 21, 2007. Born in Springfield on April 6, 1965, she was the daughter of Milford and Glenda (Frederick) Ramey. On July 21, 1990, she married Bradley C. Jodoin Sr. in Waterbury Center.
Jodi was a 1983 graduate of Harwood Union High School in Duxbury and continued her education at Castleton State College. She worked for the government, first for the Department of Immigration and Naturalization and then for the Internal Revenue Service, both in Burlington. Jodi then was employed by the Department of Public Safety for the state of Vermont in Waterbury and most recently for the state police office in Williston.
While in high school, Jodi was a counselor in training at Girl Scout Camp Farnsworth in Thetford. Throughout her life she loved animals and cherished her pets, as well as thoroughly enjoyed spending time and working with children. She was a member of Emerald Rebekah Lodge #33 of Waterbury where she was currently serving her second year as Noble Grand.
Jodi is survived by her husband, Bradley C. Jodoin Sr. of Essex Junction; her stepson, Bradley C. Jodoin Jr. of Lyndonville; her parents, Milford and Glenda Ramey of Waterbury Center; her sister, Bindy Martin and her three children, Gregory, Christopher and Katlyn of Waterbury Center; her brother, Scott Ramey and his wife, Kristin, and their two children, Samantha and Griffin, of Southington CT; as well as sisters and brothers-in-law, Mark and Pam Labonte, Brian and Debbie Greenwood, Randy Jodoin, Robert Jodoin, and Jeff and Norma Jodoin.
A Service of Remembrance was held from the Wesley United Methodist Church in Waterbury on Sunday, March 25, at 2 p.m. with a reception to follow in the church dining room.
