John Francis Welter, 83, of Allendale, New Jersey, passed away on January 25, 2007. Beloved husband of Helen B. (Bruder) Welter. Beloved father of Thomas, John, Catherine, Mary, Joseph, Robert, Helen, Elizabeth and Andrew. Adored grandfather of 19 grandchildren. John was a parishioner and usher at St. Paul RC Church in Ramsey, NJ, and a US Army WWII veteran. He visited The Valley often and loved its beauty, the warm and friendly people and most of all his family here. He will be missed greatly but those who met him are blessed to have had him cross their paths.
Visitation was held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey, NJ.
A funeral mass was celebrated on January 29, 2007, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul RC Church in Ramsey. Interment followed at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Allendale Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 6, Allendale, NJ 07401.
