prattDonna Marie Pratt
January 15, 1942 - July 1, 2024

Donna Marie Pratt, born on January 15, 1942, in New Haven, Connecticut, passed away on July 1, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. She was the beloved daughter of the late Christopher Doyle and Marie (Slepitza) Doyle.

Donna is survived by her devoted husband and lifelong partner, Perry. Their enduring marriage has been a testament to true love. She also leaves behind her cherished son, Tony, his wife, Kristen, and their two precious daughters, Lucia and Isla. Her sister, Kiki Barker, also survives her, along with many friends and extended family members.

Donna led a life rich with joy, family, art, travels around the world, gardening, and loving relationships. She would walk into a room with class and style, and her presence would light up the room. Her ability to engage in thoughtful conversations and her genuine interest in the people she spent time with were qualities people will remember. Proven especially this year, she was exceptionally resilient, rarely complained, and was always the person who sought to lift others' spirits.

In her youth, Donna was a proud majorette in the marching band. She went on to complete her Master of Education and dedicated many years as an elementary school teacher. Later in her career, she was a real estate agent and a stenographer, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to hard work.

As a passionate volunteer, Donna made significant contributions to her community. She proudly served on the League of Women Voters in Marblehead for many years and dedicated herself to the Festival of the Arts. After building a home in Vermont and decades of winters skiing at Mad River Glen, she and Perry went on to spend their winters in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a place brimming with spirit, color, and art — everything Donna loved.

Above all, Donna was most proud of her family and adored being “Gammy.” She will be remembered in the music we hear, the art we enjoy, the spring air, and in our hearts. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.

Per her wishes, a private celebration of life will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
