Gale Henry Shaw passed away May 5, 2020, at his home in Montpelier, VT. Gale was born in Montpelier, VT, on May 30, 1952. He was predeceased by his father, Carlos Adam Shaw; his mother, Dora LaBelle Shaw; and sister, Ramona Shaw.
Gale is survived by his sister, Jeanne Chartier, Barre, VT; sister, Edith Kiernan, Fraser, CO; brother, Carlos Shaw, Waterbury, VT; niece, Theresa and her husband Richard Patterson, Waterbury; dear friends, Kathryn Grace and family, Rick Thompson, and other friends and former co-workers.
Gale was a graduate of Harwood Union High School and the University of Vermont and also attended graduate school at Oregon State University.
Gale loved to be outdoors hiking, fishing and riding his bike to and from work. Over the course of his life, he worked at many of the local restaurants in The Valley and in Montpelier.
Assisting the family was Perkins-Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Waterbury.
At a future time, a small gathering of family and friends will celebrate Gale’s life with a scattering of his ashes in the areas that he loved.
