Sandra E. Hoopes was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania, on January 30, 1947. She raised four children, Gilbert, Robert, Dawn and Suzanne, and has six grandchildren, all who, with the exception of Robert and his wife, still reside in Pennsylvania. In 2010, she moved to Fayston, Vermont, to be closer to her son Robert. After moving here, she came to know and love not only the Mad River Valley but the people. What she loved most was being able to talk to her neighbors about the promises held out in the Bible for a better future and a time when Earthwide there will be paradisiac conditions. Sandra passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, and is survived by her children, grandchildren and a brother and his family. A memorial service will be held on May 7 at 2 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 298 Route 100, South Duxbury. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Sandra's memory can be made to Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495.
