Brandon Dodge Preedom, 22, passed away as a result of a collision with his automobile and a moose on Route 2 in Bolton on Tuesday evening, October 6, 2015. Born in Berlin on July 28, 1993, he is the son of Michael L. and Susan C. (Blais) Preedom.
Brandon was a 2011 graduate of Harwood Union High School in Duxbury and continued his education at Lyndon State College. Following school, Brandon began his employment with Shaw’s Supermarkets working in their Waterbury, Waitsfield and Berlin stores. For the past year he worked at their Stowe location, currently as the assistant deli manager.
An avid outdoorsman, Brandon loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed his family’s annual summer camping adventures throughout Vermont as well as video gaming and playing cards.
Brandon is loved and mourned by his parents, Michael and Susan Preedom of Waterbury Center; his sister, Bethany H. Preedom of Rutland; his paternal grandmother, Bella T. Preedom of Waterbury Center; his maternal grandmother, Rose M. Blais of North Troy; a special aunt and uncle, Nancy and Jeff Robinson of Waterbury Center; a special great- aunt, Claire Doyon of Duxbury; his best friend, Ethan Burdett of Waterbury; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Andrew Catholic Church in Waterbury on Saturday, October 10, 2015, at 11 a.m. A reception will follow the service at the Waterbury American Legion, 16 Stowe Street in Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
