Irene M. Sherman, 65, passed away in the comfort of her home and family on Saturday, October 10, 2015. Born in Montpelier on September 30, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Bartlett “Pint” and Arlene (West) Sherman.

Irene was a 1968 graduate of Harwood Union High School. After graduation she was busy as a homemaker and as a mother raising her family. In the 1980s Ben and Jerry’s opened a production facility in Waterbury and Irene went to work there, first in production, then later as the shipping and receiving manager. Irene loved her home in Moretown. She enjoyed gardening, painting, crafts and fishing. She also enjoyed taking care of the interior decor of her home; the walls and ceilings are covered with the beauty of the great outdoors.
