Blaise Francis Martucci, 80, passed away at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington on Tuesday, July 7, 2015, following a period of declining health. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on February 8, 1935, he was the son of the late John and Margaret (Esposito) Martucci.
Blaise was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Jersey City and continued his education, graduating from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey. Blaise was a very frequent visitor to the Mad River Valley and owned a ski house here since the 1970s. He worked full time in New Jersey as owner of the Marbros Company until 2005 when he retired and moved to The Valley full time. Blaise was an avid skier only to be surpassed by his après-skiing prowess. He remained an active member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity.
Blaise is survived by three brothers, Anthony, Joseph and Bob; sisters-in-law Mary, Carol and Beth; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
