Robert “Bud” Davison Sr., age 91, passed away on July 12, 2015, at Woodridge Rehabilitation & Nursing in Berlin after a short illness.
He was born on December 2, 1923, in Henniker, New Hampshire, where he was raised and graduated from high school. In 1942, he married Lillian and shared 58 years of love and happiness.
In 1942, Bud went into the Army and went overseas to enter World War II. He was one of the survivors of Omaha Beach and the trek to Berlin and left the Army in 1945.
Bud and Lillian moved to Vermont in 1950 to Bradford where they resided until 1989. They then traveled for several years ending up at Robert Jr’s. in Waitsfield.
Bud is survived by his son, Robert Jr. of Duxbury; grandchildren Jean Danue and husband Michael of Gibsonton, Florida, Steven Davison and partner Ann Bailey of Duxbury, Maureen Touchette and husband Shawn of Waterbury Center, Heather and partner Joel Burnham of Richmond; great-grandchildren Estelle Sanderlin, Middlebury, Florida, Adam Blair, Manheim, Pennsylvania, Shane Corbeil, Waitsfield, Lillian Brace, Richmond; two great-great-grandchildren, Kayley and Gavin Sanderlin of Middlebury, Florida.
He is to be laid to rest at the Sawyer Cemetery in Bradford, Vermont, on July 17, 2015, at 11 a.m.
