Taylor Anne Kaulbach, age 41, passed away on June 24, 2015, in Portland, Maine, after a prolonged battle with cancer. Taylor died in the loving care of her parents, Beth and Peter Kaulbach. She is survived by her sister, Whitney Kaulbach; her brother-in-law, Marc Gilbertson; and her niece, Kata Fe Gilbertson.
Although her life was short, Taylor lived each day passionately and to its fullest. Growing up in Moretown, Vermont, she developed a lifelong love of the outdoors. Her childhood was spent skiing in the Green Mountains. Later, she followed in her father's footsteps and looked to the sea for business and pleasure. Taylor sailed around the world and along the Atlantic Coast. She settled in Florida before her illness and spent the last years of her life in her parents' care while continuing to pursue interests in nursing. Taylor wanted nothing more than to use her life experiences to help others.
