Casey Morgan Eurich, devoted mother and wife, avid skier and cherished friend passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones June 23, 2015. Born in Saranac Lake, New York, on June 9, 1963, Casey was the daughter of Forrest “Dew Drop” and Sheila Morgan. She married the love of her life, Gordie Eurich, on June 5, 1993. Casey and her husband were the proud co-owners of Slope Style Ski and Bike in Montpelier, Vermont.
Remembered for her quick wit, skills in the kitchen, athleticism and incredible strength, Casey took extreme pride and pleasure in her daughter, Ellen Eurich. She was a fighter with an incredible joy for life that made her an inspiration to all whose lives she touched.
In addition to her parents, Casey was predeceased by brothers Jimmy and Kevin Morgan. Surviving loved ones include husband Gordie Eurich, daughter Ellen, loving mother and father-in-law Jo-Ann and Gordie Euirch Sr., brothers John, Terry, Sean, Bryan and Dermott Morgan, sisters Kelly Morgan Duprey, Colleen Morgan Fossi, Bridget Morgan Curlin, and best friends Curt and Jennifer Reynolds.
Casey’s spirit, vitality and zest for life live on in daughter Ellen as well as nieces and nephews Evan and Garrett Demers, Jordan Leigh Winfield, Jamie Duprey Rohe, Katie O’Reilly Morgan, Sheila Fossi, Forrest, Kevin, Jimmy, Haleigh and DJ Morgan.
A funeral service and reception celebrating her life was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 29, 2015, at St. Augustine Church, Montpelier, Vermont.
