June Ann (Lacillade) White, 81, of Barre, formerly of Waitsfield, died unexpectedly on November 27, 2014. June was born on June 9, 1933, in Bolton, Vermont, to Clifford and Irene (Goodwin) Lacillade.

In 1952, she married Freeman White and together they raised five children. They celebrated 57 wonderful years of marriage until Freeman passed in 2009. In 1967, Freeman and June, purchased the H. A. Hubbard Fuel Company and renamed it F. G. White Co., Inc. which they ran until it was sold to their oldest son, Stephen, in 1995. Although, June was co-owner of the business, she was proudest of her accomplishments as wife, mother and grandmother. "Nana," as she was known by her grandchildren, will be dearly missed.

Throughout the years Freeman and June traveled extensively to all 50 states and several countries. June was a talented artist; she loved to paint, knit, crochet, do various crafts, cooking and sharing her talents with others. She enjoyed playing cards, board games and the challenge of a good puzzle; but her favorite pastime was spending time with her friends and family.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen White and his wife Lynn of Addison and Wayne White and his companion Joan of Northfield; her daughters, Susan Rounds of Fayston and Wendy Gilbert and her husband Brian of Waitsfield; 10 grandchildren, Chad White, Matthew White, Buffy Miller, Heather Gauvin, Kelly Otty, William Rounds, Justin Lamson, Grant Folsom, Katie Vinton and Garret Folsom; 17 beautiful great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy; her sisters, Marion Aubertin, Delores Bolles, Cynthia Decoteau and Sherrie DeCosta; and brother, James LaCount; in-laws, Joyce White, Ethel Lacillade and Virgil Hall; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Freeman; her daughter, Debi White; her brother, Howard Lacillade; and two sisters, Elizabeth Hall and Shirley Maxfield.

The funeral will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Guare & Sons Funeral Home, 30 School Street, Montpelier. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society. Those wishing to send online condolences may do so at www.guareandsons.com and go to June's obituary.
