John H. "Jack" Dunn, 82, of Williamstown, VT, and West Brookfield, MA, died Tuesday, September 16, 2014, in West Brookfield.

He leaves his three daughters, Susan Cunales of Williamstown, VT, Cynthia Howlett and Rebecca Dunn of West Brookfield; two brothers, James Dunn and his wife Donna and Tommy Dunn of Wrentham; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife of 50 years, Grace H. Dunn; his second wife, Constance Dunn; a son, John H. Dunn Jr.; and a brother, Rodney Dunn. He was born in Attleboro, son of the late John H. and Alice (Davis) Dunn, and lived in Vermont, West Brookfield and Nantucket before moving back to Vermont.

Mr. Dunn was a civil engineer who built, owned and operated White Horse Inn in Vermont and later worked for the island of Nantucket before retiring.

He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War and belonged to several VFW Posts.

A graveside service for John will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery in West Brookfield. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., P.O. Box 1, West Brookfield, MA 01585 to assist his family with funeral arrangements.
