Starting Monday, March 11, E-Knock (Ernest Phillips) will be teaching Hip Hop 1-3 at the Big Picture Theater every Monday and Tuesday at 3 and 4 p.m. Classes are designed to introduce the hip-hop culture through the element of dance and provide a structured method of learning various hip-hop dance movements in a vibrant class environment and offering a new set of original combinations and routines.
Ernest “E-Knock” Phillips is known for starring on America's Best Dance Crew as a member of Status Quo. Status Quo is an all-male dance crew from Boston, Massachusetts. Their dance techniques are a combination of hip hop, break dancing, krub, tap and gymnastics. Phillips started dancing at 3 years old and has been working as a dance teacher in Massachusetts and Vermont for years.
Class schedule:
Hip Hop 1 (ages 6 to 8): Beginning Hip Hop, Monday at 3 p.m.;
Hip Hop 2 (ages 8 to10): Beginning/Intermediate Hip Hop, Monday at 4 p.m.;
Hip Hop 3 (ages 9 to 12): Intermediate Hip Hop, Tuesday at 4 p.m.;
Free Style with Sam B-Right (age 10-plus), Tuesday at 3 p.m.
