To The Editor:

Twice this month there have been accidents at the Route 100 and 100B intersection. I know firsthand how dangerous it is. Several years ago I made a left turn onto 100B when a tractor trailer appeared out of nowhere and the driver leaned on his horn. I was inside the Moretown General Store when the very large truck driver approached me and warned I'd better watch out or I'd become a "grease spot." I was afraid and told him to forget about it. I heard the horn.

Perhaps the new speed radars in town can be placed at more dangerous areas such as this intersection. The trees there limit the westbound view from Duxbury, and the pull over area (where cars aren't supposed to park but do) adds distraction. I've parked there myself to take a photo, and if no parking is allowed, what is the area for? A speed trap? Also, the speed limit changes from 40 mph to 50 there. Something needs to be done before someone else gets hurt.
