To the Editor:
In the July 2 issue of The Valley Reporter, there was a wonderful article about all the outside eateries in The Valley area. I'd like to bring your attention to a great outdoor (and indoor) eatery that was left out. At Mad River Glen the Pub is open Friday, Saturday and Sundays for lunch and dinner. My husband and I have eaten there as often as possible since it opened last summer.
They have the best fish fry this side of the pond, as was heard to be said by a visiting Englishwoman, fish tacos on Saturday and fried chicken on Sundays, along with the standard burgers, portabella sandwich, hot dogs, grilled chicken and salads, etc. It was a shame you missed this in your article; obviously no one from The Valley Reporter has been here. You really don't know what you're missing. Oh, did I mention eight different beers on tap every weekend?
You really should try it.
