To The Editor:

I read with interest the well-written analysis Emma Wade provided in last week's My View regarding Rochester trustees' investments. She keenly points out the high percentage of that fund invested in fossil fuels, a major driver of climate change, and (indirectly) 350.org's movement for colleges and local governments to divest. There is so much talk about our young people not having opportunity in Vermont. She's making opportunity. Here's a young lady just out of college taking action in her community to create awareness and accomplish much needed change. I'm moved every time I see young people stepping up to the plate. We so desperately need their voice in national and global matters being controlled by corporate interests.
