To The Editor:
As a resident of Montpelier, I am reluctant to ask folks in Waitsfield to build a new town office. I will say that I visit a lot of town offices and the town office in Waitsfield is among the most cramped. I will also say that you have an outstanding town office staff of which the following is illustrative. I recently worked on closing the purchase and sale of a property in Waitsfield by the end of 2012 as the contract required. Due to snow, documents from out of state arrived so late on the last working day of the year that I was unable to get to the town office by closing time to record the transfer documents. At the request of Valerie Capels, Jennifer Peterson returned to the office after hours on Friday night before a long holiday weekend so that the closing could be completed on time.
