To The Editor:
The success of the summer exhibition on my grandfather, Walter Dorwin Teague: His Life, Work and Legacy, hosted at the Madsonian Industrial Design Museum by Dave Sellers, went way beyond my expectations. Since the exhibition happened as a result of serendipity and a whim, with no time to think about expectations, I was well pleased with the reception and exposure this exhibit got locally and nationally. The design world certainly welcomed it. I hope this first-ever showing of this exhibit in The Valley will be the beginnings of a long run of exhibits, benefiting educational and historical perspectives on my grandfather and his legacy.
Throughout the summer and the speaking events, I had assistance from videographer Meg Hilly, whose hand is behind every frame recorded, and technical assistance from Mad River Valley TV and Alex MacLay for footage that will be available for educational purposes when the film project is finished.
Many other Valley locals showed support in kind and services for which I am vastly grateful.
To my longtime friends in The Valley who came out time after time in support of me and this exhibit, eternal gratitude for your loving support. I could not have done it without you.
