In 2010, Vermont Planned Parenthood treated 19,000 patients at 10 health centers. These women needed care for annual exams, family planning and birth control, breast and cervical cancer screenings, HIV and STI testing and treatment. Where will these women go for affordable services? The staff at the clinics are dedicated people who understand and support women’s health care issues.
I have been a strong supporter of Planned Parenthood for many years and believe that women deserve to have the opportunity for receiving excellent and accessible health care. My mother, who would be well over 100 if she was alive today, was also an ardent advocate for Planned Parenthood.
