I have lived in The Valley since I was 12 years old and always hear
about what a wonderful place it is to live and that the people here are
always willing to help out. I wish my experience had been the same. I
was both angry and sad that I was just left there with no offer of
assistance. I was just happy that I had not been traveling with my
4-year-old daughter that morning.
I would like to thank the owners of the Weathertop Lodge for their
assistance. The offer of a phone and hot cup of coffee was greatly
appreciated. Also to Hap's for coming to get me out of the ditch and on
my way to work. I sincerely hope that the kindnesses that were paid to
me this day will someday be repaid in kind.
