I'm also hopeful that the project will include the renovation of
sidewalks on the right side of Bridge Street where the deterioration is
truly a hazard. People have fallen and broken teeth, injured arms and
legs. This area needs to be included in the project.
I'm hopeful that the select board will re-evaluate its plan to delay the
paving of Route 100 through the village as well. In these economic
times, even though the DOT has the best intentions, it's not clear that
the money will be available to complete the project in a couple of
years.
