I see this slipping away, as the thin edge of the wedge of socialism is
thrust upon us in the form of a health care package that it appears no
one has read, has very little that truly will lower health care costs
and will without doubt increase spending. Has the U.S. government ever
introduced an entitlement that met its spending and cost goals?
So, I can only suspect that the purpose of this big rush to pass a
health care bill is to move the country toward a European-style social
democracy. We have fought to escape this form of serfdom through high
taxation. It just isn't America, and we are truly different and that
difference has made us successful.
We are losing our country. Surely we need health care reform, but this
may be too high a price to pay and should not be forced on the American
people without due process, by a progressive/liberal congress that has
no bipartisan support.
