Our garden concept was to create a rich garden soil inexpensively with
sheet mulch and use herbal medicinal and native plants such as
echinacea and yarrow in a palette of whites and blues. The actual plant
selection and placement was the work of Dan Bermingham of Small Axe
Landcare who did the work at a highly reduced rate. The improvements
also include a stone entry court built with free labor by a
Yestermorrow stonework class with materials paid for by a Rotary
donation. Rotary members have also generously offered to build the
wooden benches soon to adorn the stone entry court. We are happy to
play a role in town beautification and thank these fine organizations
for their gifts and Dan for his hard work.
