We extend our appreciation to so many individuals who helped to make this evening memorable. Bill McKibben braved the Middlebury Gap in his Prius to impress upon us the significance of our effort to help establish two new sources of local food, including the Vermont Foodbank's first farm, here in our Valley.

Twelve local artists and health practitioners generously donated unique gifts and services to a silent auction benefiting the farms. A spectacular painting of the Bruce Farm by Dotty Kyle unveiled at the event will be on display for all to see at a location soon to be announced. Please join us on March 20 at a benefit bake at American Flatbread for a special opportunity to bid on Dotty's piece as well as a Gary Ekhart painting of the Kingsbury Farm!

We are especially grateful for Claudia Becker and the Big Picture for generously providing us with the perfect place to kick off our farmland conservation campaign. The Big Picture, with its excellent staff, "local" cuisine and welcoming space, has become a wellspring for many creative community initiatives bringing positive change to The Valley.

And finally, thanks to all who have recently sent generous donations to the Vermont Land Trust to help support the effort to conserve the Kingsbury and Bruce Farms! Time is short and broad community participation is needed to make this happen. Spread the word to your friends and neighbors to join the Two Farm Revival!
