Don't get me wrong; these are also serious offenses that put the public at danger. But what could be more dangerous to our society than to let the next generation of our young people slip into crime, addiction and disease, like AIDs and hepatitis. How many more kids have to die before the authorities deem it necessary to act? I'm afraid it may have to come down to someone being shot before action is taken.
We, the citizens of The Valley, need to let the state police and sheriff's department know that, while well intentioned, their actions have been somewhat misguided. Let's get our priorities in order before another young person dies.
