As the moose proceeded to run by the house my husband hollered hoping to stop the dog. They ran up the high bank leading to the Fayston town garage and then disappeared. My husband traced the tracks up through the garage drive and into the woods across the way. We have heard that there have been dogs and coyotes killing deer this winter. People who own dogs should pretty much know where their pets are at all times.
If your dog is off running for a few hours, what do you suppose that it is doing? I would really hate to see your pet shot because it was off chasing deer and moose. If your pet doesn't return chances are that it won't come back because it's been killed. Please be a responsible pet owner and know where it is at all times.
