To The Editor:
Our family and friends have cancelled our summer trip to Vermont in response to the disgusting display of ignorance shown to VP JD Vance and his family. This is a man who served his country as a Marine, became a U.S. Senator, risen to the office of Vice President of the United States of America, and has written an inspirational story, “Hillbilly Elegy.” To protest is one thing, but to display signs telling him to go to Russia and ski, and calling him a traitor, is beyond acceptable.
We may not make a dent in your economy by travelling elsewhere, but it will be with great satisfaction that those who may have profited from our visit will not receive monetary compensation from our group.
