To The Editor:
Almost 30 years ago January 5, 1994, I opened Bridge Street Bakery across from my wonderful neighbors Gaelic and Bonnie McTigue. My first meeting was Gaelic’s face peering through my front door through the hole in the newspaper put on the door. Upon hearing what I was opening, gave me full support of a business woman and the "elder" of the street. Believe me, I leaned on their savvy many a time and cherish my 10 years on Bridge Street, hosting many a small child after a magical shop at their store. They spearheaded Bridge Street being named the center of the arts with the addition of the Artisans’ Gallery and the mirage of artists in the Blue Building studio spaces.
