Many thanks to Michelle and her team at SHARC for welcoming our Fresh Air child, Jeremy, last week. He enjoyed his first-ever yoga class and on another day a workout in the gym. The broadening of horizons is part of the Fresh Air program, so we spent last week taking him on all sorts of adventures. Hosting kids from NYC to help them experience a different family and life for a week or two each summer gives everyone involved a new perspective. Their slogan, “A summer can change a child’s life,” is something to think about. Maybe next summer your family might consider hosting? For more information, www.freshair.org.
