To The Editor:
In consideration of the generous outpouring of donations contributed to the Bobby Welter Stroke Recovery Fund, the extended Welter family would like to give heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming show of support. The benevolent giving of others has touched us deeply. Mere words cannot express the gratitude that we feel.
The funds raised will help ensure that Bobby has the means to continue receiving necessary occupational and physical therapy; treatments that will continue to improve his quality of life. Due to the generosity of others, he is scheduled to begin Driver’s Rehabilitation in early August and a vehicle will be adapted to meet the accommodations of the disabilities resulting from the stroke. Home modifications that promote safety, independence and the best new baseline possible can be undertaken.
In the words of his grandson: “Grandpa Bobby need to fix himself up and stuff and then we can start blowing stuff up and causing trouble for Grandma G Val again. Maybe even drive the race car. I just can’t wait.”
Bobby’s connections are vast, from his roots in Allendale, New Jersey, as the owner of The Den restaurant, from the lift lines at Sugarbush or Mad River Glen or the grocery aisle at Mehuron’s. He has requested that we gratefully acknowledge the outpouring of support he has received from so many. The donations, cards, meals, well wishes and hugs as he has ventured out in the community are all welcome and remarkably healing.

Many thanks from the Welter Family: Bob and Valerie Welter; Bethany, Chris, Maeve and Asher Logan; Caitlin, Scott, Milo, Wyatt and Sloane Fleckenstein; and Eamon Welter
