To The Editor:
Your article in the May 6 Valley Reporter quotes school board chair Torrey Smith as saying: "My strong recommendation is that the board [sic] not ...second-guess our professionals’ decision-making." In other words, "our professionals" are infallible, never make mistakes and no one should second-guess them. Is this good thinking on the part of our leaders and does it set a good example for our community and especially for our students and our young people? Holy mackerel!
