To The Editor:

This election is about the future.

The past four years have seen the Legislature pass a bill to provide family leave so Vermonters can afford to care for themselves and their family, a climate change initiative to take responsibility for our energy use and two bills to increase the minimum wage so essential workers can afford to eat and to pay rent. All were among the 20 bills Governor Scott has vetoed, and all were supported by Lt. Governor David Zuckerman.

Governor Scott would keep us stuck where we are rather than invest in the future of hard-working Vermonters.

Phil Scott has done a good job managing the COVID crisis. Going forward, we need more than a manager as governor, we need a leader with vision. I’ll vote for David Zuckerman because he is the leader we need.
